I genuinely believe I’ve spent a lot more on film and TV than I otherwise would if I wasn’t exposed to things on Tumblr, Youtube and the online media websites. I would never buy a boxset without being able to watch an episode beforehand, and it allows me to do that. I think the level of privacy that SOPA censors, is actually more profitable from the advertising that it exposes people to, than it is damaging. Also, it would be a violation of privacy, as well as create further problems with antisocial behavior. A huge amount of crime in the Western world is caused by boredom, and a lack of prospects. The number of people who have been able to utilize the internet to improve their prospects  is simply incalculable. Censorship on this scale would just be so detrimental, in creating more problems than it solves.
