Wow. What a moment. Some seasons have had good cold opens, others have had great ones. This may be the best season opener ever. The element of surprise always helps. Anytime Michael’s in a car (Dunder Mifflin Infinity lake scene, Michael Scott Paper Company cold open) things go a crazy amount of hilarious. Mostly a bit awry too. 

What I find the funniest, is Michael’s absolute belief he did nothing wrong and the fact that the most upsetting thing to him isn’t putting someone in hospital, but the fact that everyone’s annoyed with him. And despite this complete void of self-awareness and conscience, he’s still wonderfully adorable. Well, I think so. I mean, everyone has flaws! Give him a break!
